Eric Dobsha grew up as a very distinguished junior tennis player. He was ranked top 5 in the state of Florida through his whole tennis career, boys 12's through 18's/ culminating in a #1 ranking his final year in the 18's, where he claimed the Bobby Curtis State Closed in the 18's. He won the Bobby Curtis State Closed in doubles in every division. On the national level, Eric was ranked top 10 in every age group in singles, and #1 in every age group in doubles. He won 6 gold balls in doubles, including the prestigious USTA Super Nationals in Kalamazoo, MI.
In college, Eric went on to play at the University of Florida, where he was a part of the 1994 SEC Champions. He was ranked top 40 in the NCAA's in singles and top 20 in doubles.
After college, Eric coached in Atlanta and Tampa twice. In Atlanta, he was coach to players who have had high ATP rankings, including Brian Vahaly, Bobby Reynolds, and Scoville Jenkins. He also coached over 30 kids to scholarships. In Tampa, Eric started the academy which has become BSAC with partner Alex Golub. There, they coached over 20 kids who received college scholarships. To date, Eric's students have received over 50 college scholarships, including: University of Virginia, Vanderbilt University, University of South Carolina, University of Florida, Florida State University, Oklahoma State University, Louisiana State University, Carnegie Mellon, Furman, William & Mary, Savannah College of Design, University of North Carolina-Charlotte, and many others.
