My name is Eric Dobsha. Allow me to provide a brief history of my tennis playing career,:
∆ Junior Tennis (USTA sanctioned) player for over 10 yrs;
∆ Reached #1 in the USTA National Rankings 4 times;
∆ Won 8 National Tournaments, Singles and Doubles;
∆ Awarded a scholarship to play at The University of Florida;
∆ Helped team win SEC Championships in '94;
∆ Played for a year on the Pro Circuit.
During my career, I had the privilege of working with some of the best coaches in the world. My first coach made the biggest impression on me, even though he wasn't - on paper - a tennis legend himself. But what I first learned from him and other coaches is that it doesn't matter so much what you know, but how much you care.
During my coaching career, I have worked at some of the biggest and best academies in the Southeast. At those facilities, I was tasked with developing some of the best American juniors, over 60 who have went on to earn college scholarships, and 7 who have even went on to the ATP tour. I have to say, though, that I get just as much enjoyment out of the kid who started late and made his high school team.
Over the last 10 years I have focused more on younger kids and adults: League teams, 10&Under Tennis and the passionate 3.5 or 4.0 player that just wants to make a few more balls in the court. I have now come full circle and feel that my experiences have shaped and molded me to understand, identify with and assist any player at any stage in their tennis.
Along with my staff, I assure you we can guide your game to the next level. Our program is designed to improve your weaknesses as well as enhance your strengths. But what we really sets us apart is the way we coach. Fun, friendly and positive. It's a great game - and we look forward to helping you improve yours.
